We are updating the systems
From December 31th 10:00 AM to January 5th 12:00 PM, it is therefore not possible to apply for authorization.
Even though your education/training is from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, you may be able to get your application assessed according to EU rules. On this page you can read about which requirements are needed to apply for Danish authorization under EU rules - and whether it may be relevant for you to obtain an Article 3.3 certificate.
If your education/training is from a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, and you want to apply for Danish authorization, you will usually have to apply as non-EU/EEA. This applies regardless of whether you have EU citizenship or a citizenship outside the EU. You can get your application assessed according to EU rules if you meet the following requirements:
The Article 3.3 certificate is a document that confirms that you are authorized in an EU/EEA country that has recognized your education/training from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland and that you have worked for a minimum of 3 years within your profession and thus meets the requirements of Article 3.3 of the directive 2005/36/EC.
The Article 3.3 certificate must be obtained from the relevant health authorities in the country where you have obtained authorization and have worked for a minimum of 3 years within your profession.
Please note that when you submit an article 3.3 certificate, your application will not be covered by automatic recognition but by the general system. In connection with the assessment, we will typically need additional documentation, e.g. diploma supplement with information about subjects, number of hours, etc.
When completing the application form, you can upload this documentation under "further documentation". Otherwise we will ask you to submit the missing documentation when we start processing your application.
If we cannot approve your Article 3.3 certificate, your application will be processed as a non-EU/EEA application.
