Inquests
An inquest is conducted by a medical professional to determine whether death has taken place. The first page of the death certificate is utilized by funeral authorities, while the Danish Health Authority registers the information pertaining to the cause and manner of death on the second page of the certificate.
Under certain circumstances, the doctor who confirms the occurrence of death is required to notify the police.
