Information about the Online register

The Online register provides a list of registered health professionals. The register holds information about full name, date of birth, profession, date of registration, ID number and specialist title. You can check the registration status of a given health professional at the date and time of the search.

As of 1 January 2010, the Danish Patient Safety Authority has not issued authorizations, permissions to work independently, or specialist titles to Danish as well as international health personnel on paper. Instead, health professionals have received an email to the effect that they have been registered within their profession.

The register holds publicly available information about whether a health professional is subject to intensified supervision, mandatory change of professional performance or restrictions in the registration. However, it is important to note that not all details are available to the public. If you want to receive additional information about other types of restrictions please contact the Danish Patient Safety Authority.

If requested by foreign health authorities, the Danish Patient Safety Authority will continue to issue certificates of current professional status including relevant information about the health professional's name and registration status, and if applicable, references to Council Directive 2005/36/EC.
